At IEEE BMSB Valencia 2018 technical sessions are 100 minutes long and there are 4 or 5 talks per session. Therefore, talk times are 25 or 20 minutes, including questions and transitions, depending on the number of papers in each session. If there are 5 papers in your session, plan your speech for a duration of 15 minutes, in order to allow time for questions and discussion. If there are 2 papers in your session, plan your speech for a duration of 20 minutes, in order to allow time for questions and discussion. The room location and talk times for each talk are posted on the technical program website. All technical sessions will take place at the second floor of the Nexus (building 6G).
Session chair(s) will ensure that all presentations end on time. Presentation slides should be uploaded to the laptop in the session room prior to the beginning of the session from USB drives and the presenter should inform the session chair(s) of their presence prior to the session as well. Be at the room of your session 15 minutes before session starts, so that you can meet your session chairs and the other speakers in advance.
Only Power Point presentations (.ppt or .pptx) and Adobe Acrobat files (.pdf) will be accepted, as the available software on the laptops in the session rooms includes Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Reader. The presenter is responsible for knowing how to use the software for their file format. Audio Visual Technicians will be available to provide technical support.
At IEEE BMSB Valencia 2018 the poster session will take place on Wednesday 6th of June from 14:10-15:50. Poster panels will have a size of 120cm x 174cm (portrait orientation) and have a printable surface area: 117.5cm x 171.5cm. Posters should be a mixture of a brief text mixed with tables, graphs, pictures, and other presentation formats, summarizing the information concisely and attractively.
Notice: All rooms are equipped with an HDMI-only projector. Presenters using laptops with VGA output please bring your own VGA-to-HDMI converter. We will NOT provide them.
